To make payslips more transparent in relation to the National Minimum Wage Act 1998, there will be changes introduced to payslips from April 2019. The order will amend section 8 of the 1996 Employment Rights Act.
From April 2019 you will need to ensure that employee’s payslips have an itemised breakdown of hours and rates for any time worked. Please note, this will only apply to employees where their pay varies as a consequence of the time worked.
